FOCUS: Support children treated for brain and spinal cord tumors and their families through research, support programs, education, and advocacy

The Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 1988 by dedicated parents, physicians and friends. Our mission is to improve the treatment, quality of life and the long term outlook for children with brain and spinal cord tumors through research, support, education, and advocacy to families and survivors. Support is available for families during every stage of treatment and after. CBTF’s programs include phone support and counseling, resources and literature, online support communities and groups, educational programs, and mentor connections. CBTF also offers family camps and camps for teen and young adult survivors, and support programs for bereaved families. CBTF has awarded over $5 million in grants for basic and clinical research related to pediatric brain and spinal cord tumors. Over $625,000 has been given out in Quality of Life Grants.
