Leukemia Foundation for Arizona’s Children

FOCUS: Provide financial assistance and support services to Arizona’s families with children in treatment for leukemia

We are an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization founded in 1972 by a group of dedicated physicians and nurses. Our mission is to provide prompt, direct financial assistance for Arizona families with children being treated for leukemia and support projects and services beneficial to these children and their families.

It is our wish to ease financial burdens, allowing parents with limited resources to focus energies on the health of their child and keep the family unit strong during these difficult times. The board responds to requests submitted via treatment program social workers and medical staff providing health care for the children. Working in this manner assures needs are determined professionally, while respecting the family’s privacy and dignity.

The majority of our funding goes toward helping families with rent, mortgage, car expenses, utilities, travel expenses for treatments, emergency expenses, sibling care including after school programs and camps.

Our secondary funding efforts go toward programs such as child centered grief & serious illness support, library and public awareness, therapeutic alternative care, family meal assistance during hospital stays and more.
