Save the Cord Foundation

FOCUS: Saving umbilical cord blood to be used for life- saving transplants and life-changing regenerative medicine transfusions

Save The Cord Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, was created to educate and inform expectant parents and the general public about the options to publicly donate or privately bank their newborn’s umbilical cord blood. Save The Cord Foundation provides unbiased educational information regarding cord blood preservation and its life-saving qualities.

We provide advocacy, education and research information surrounding public donation and private banking of umbilical cord blood, for use in treatment and transplants for life-threatening diseases such as leukemia and sickle cell anemia. The Foundation also supports private banking and regenerative medicine research and autologous medical transfusion therapies that are being used to treat cerebral palsy, traumatic brain and spinal cord injury.
